This video covers the first Pan-Arab conference held in Cairo, May 1990, on women’s contribution to development in the Arab region. The conference discussions focused on the obstacles the women faced in combining their economic and family roles and the actions and support needed to enhance Arab women’s participation in development. The booklet that accompanies the video highlights the conference discussions.
