This video traces the lives of two teenager girls, Bangladeshi Salma Begum and Australian Amy Hannigan and shares with us many aspects of their lives: family, education, work, hopes and dreams. This resource provides students with an insight into Bangladesh and its people, introducing students to this country of cultural richness and economic poverty. It integrates a justice perceptive across the curriculum and addresses key issues in child rights, challenges unjust structures and is about empowering people to help themselves. A workbook accompanies the video for a cross-curriculum perspective on Asia for the middle-school years.
