Documentary on the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. The bank lends small amounts of money to poor women in order for them to set up a small business and break the poverty cycle. The documentary illustrates patterns of wealth and poverty, implications of change and the effects of the project on traditional family structures. The Bank is opposed by male community leaders and the Islamic Church, who give their opinion throughout the documentation.
