This kit includes an information and activities booklet, a facilitator’s handbook and a video. The booklet provides information and activities that can form the basis of discussion of six topics concerning relationships between Australia and Asia. Australian images of Asia - challenging negative stereotypes, tourism, aid, environment, regional politics, security and trade are the themes canvassed in this kit. The video presents prominent Australians who have an interest and expertise in Australia-Asia relationships. Although intended for community groups to engage in discussion of the changing relationships between Australia and countries of Asia, the kit is an excellent resource for schools where Asian Studies is a curriculum priority.
